Job Title: Columbus Arts Festival Contract Position

Salary Range: $20 per hour, 20 hours/week

This is a temporary contract-position (6 month, start date ASAP, end Date June 27, 2025)

 

Job Summary

The Greater Columbus Arts Council (GCAC) is in search of contractor to assist the Arts Festival staff with various operations of the 2025 Columbus Arts Festival, which takes place along Columbus’ downtown Riverfront on June 6, 7, and 8, 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and troubleshoot Festival mobile app and Festival website 
  • Maintain Festival and other marketing-related event databases, including contact and information lists 
  • Ensure all contracts, liability waivers, permits, assignments, schedules, etc. are in place well before the opening of an event and ensure that all necessary paperwork is present on-site during the event 
  • Compose timely responses to artist questions via email and telephone 
  • Gather relevant information for Festival Guidebook and press releases and festival website
  • Process invoices, check requests and refunds for the Festival
  • Reserve and pick-up or coordinate drop-off of items needed at the Festival, including but not limited to: golf carts, radios, fire extinguishers, U-Haul, beverages
  • Work with volunteer committee members and general volunteers to trouble-shoot issues during set-up, open hours and tear-down
  • Maintain Festival and marketing-related storage spaces and coordinate load-in and load-out to/from the Festival
  • Other duties as directed

 

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, WordPress, Windows, and related applications
  • Solid organizational and time management skills 
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills 
  • Ability to troubleshoot, meet deadlines, and work calmly under pressure 
  • Comfortable and experienced with technology and enthusiastic about managing and trouble-shooting a variety of web and content management platforms. Background using databases, HTML or JavaScript a plus, but not required.  

 

Schedule and pay:

  • 20 hours per week
  • Flexible scheduling is available between 9:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday through Friday in the GCAC office
  • Work to begin ASAP and continue through June 27, 2025 with a requirement to be onsite for the Columbus Arts Festival, June 2-8, 2025
  • The week of the festival, work hours will not follow a traditional 9am – 5pm schedule
  • The rate of pay is $20 per/hour
