  • In-person sessions with clients (telehealth is not an option).
  • Clinicians already paneled/credentialed through insurance portals (Medicare, Medicaid & commercial insurances).

Position Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in clinical mental health social work (LISW).
  • Independently licensed in the State of Ohio through Social Work Board (LISW).
  • Bereavement experience a plus.
  • Recent grads are welcome and encouraged to apply.

Job Responsibilities:

Clinical Responsibilities (50%)

  • Provide grief and trauma-informed clinical mental health services that are eligible for reimbursement by public and private insurance.
  • Maintain a schedule that ensures 16 direct client care hours are conducted each week, including diagnostic assessments, clinical counseling sessions, support group assessments, camp assessments, and support group facilitation.
  • Always keep an up-to-date calendar in AMD where the 5 PM, 6 PM, and 7 PM time slots are used for client counseling sessions on late schedule days, and limited time for documentation is blocked out.
  • Select approaches to use in individual therapy best suited to the client’s needs, and develop treatment plans to include frequency, intensity, and duration of therapy.
  • Complete charts, treatment plans, discharge summaries, progress notes, assessments, and other chart-related documents and correspondence for assigned clients in a timely manner and according to organizational policy. Seek clinical consultation with clinical team members as necessary.
  • Provide referrals for individuals who need more specialized care, working with other community resources and referral sources to coordinate services for such clients.
  • Provide therapeutic crisis intervention and emergency services as needed and/or available.
  • Meet weekly with supervisor.

Support Group and School Group Program Coordination (40%)

  • Schedule quarterly Support Groups and communicate available groups.
  • Oversee and participate in the Group readiness assessment process.
  • Manage Group Facilitators and evaluate their performance.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with Group Facilitators.
  • Assist in Support Group Facilitation Training in conjunction with Education Director.
  • Coordinate Facilitator appreciation activities.
  • Evaluate and/or create new on-site youth support group program.
  • Network with community to expand Group services on-site and off-site.
  • Coordinate scheduling of support groups in the community at churches or other organizations.
  • Evaluate the needs of clients and community to develop support groups as needed.
  • Develop a School Support Group Outreach Program.
  • Participate in the development of curriculum for school groups.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Supervisor regarding community/school call needs.

Miscellaneous (10%)

  • Maintain overall responsibility for the Ornament Workshop.
  • Participate in Camp Memory Day Camp and Camp Lighthouse Overnight Camp.
  • Facilitate daytime support groups as needed.
  • Participate in the “All Hands-on Deck” and “Lend Me a Hand” programs.
  • Abide by all State licensure/ethics board standards (including for supervision).
  • Adhere to confidentiality law and procedures at all times.
  • Perform miscellaneous and/or other job-related duties as needed.
