The Michael Powell Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting caregivers and families of adults 62+ living with dementia, Alzheimer’s, and aging‑related challenges. We provide compassionate resources, community programs, and hands‑on support that help families keep their loved ones safe, engaged, and cared for at home. Our work is rooted in dignity, empathy, and the belief that no caregiver should walk this journey alone.
The Vice President will serve as a key strategic partner to the Founder & CEO, helping guide the foundation’s growth, strengthen community impact, and support the development of programs, partnerships, and volunteers. This leader will play a central role in shaping the organization’s direction and ensuring that our mission is reflected in every initiative.
This is an ideal role for someone who is passionate about aging, dementia support, community engagement, and nonprofit leadership.
Provide strategic leadership alongside the Founder & CEO to advance the foundation’s mission and long‑term goals.
Support the development and execution of community programs, events, and caregiver‑focused initiatives.
Strengthen partnerships with local organizations, sponsors, and community stakeholders.
Oversee volunteer engagement, helping build a supportive, mission‑aligned team culture.
Assist with fundraising planning, donor relations, and sponsorship outreach.
Represent the foundation at community events, meetings, and public engagements.
Contribute to organizational planning, policy development, and operational decision‑making.
Ensure that all programs and communications reflect the foundation’s values of compassion, dignity, and inclusion.
Passion for dementia awareness, caregiver support, and community service.
Experience in nonprofit leadership, community engagement, social services, or related fields (professional or volunteer).
Strong communication, relationship‑building, and organizational skills.
Ability to collaborate closely with leadership and work independently when needed.
Comfort with public speaking, outreach, and representing the organization.
