  • At least 2 years of successful work experience in a general maintenance or similar role
  • Knowledge of tools for electrical, measurement and control, precision work, and assembly tasks
  • Knowledge of facility-related matters and building-related installations
  • Knowledge of PLC control systems a plus
  • Knowledge of mechanical – pneumatics a plus
  • Fluent in English required. Bilingual in Spanish a plus.

  • You are familiar with MS Office and Outlook
  • Knowledge of logistics processes/work methods within warehouses is a plus
  • Knowledge of a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) is a plus

 

Role Summary

In this challenging, varied, and independent role, you ensure periodic maintenance and repairs of installations, equipment, and buildings. You are also involved in planning and preparing these activities. You resolve any malfunctions in a timely manner so that the operational impact remains minimal. You are the first point of contact for maintenance and repair work. As a Technical Engineer, you report to the Site General Manager. Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing maintenance and repair work, identifying solutions and malfunctions in and around the warehouse and offices
  • Performing maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting on automatized equipment’s (robots – auto baggers – conveyor and sorting system)
  • Correctly interpreting priorities and risks, taking action when needed, and consulting with stakeholders
  • Frequently occurring technical tasks include assembling, cabling, connecting power supplies, replacing damaged or broken parts, expanding switch groups and data lines, installation work, repair work, and repairing warehouse racking
  • Documenting, registering, and keeping technical documentation up to date
  • Contribute to the writing manuals for machines/installations
  • Contributing proactively to our Lean Six Sigma methodology
  • Making improvement proposals

Being available and flexible (occasionally) in case of emergencies – peak period
