Bleckmann is seeking an experienced Operations Shift Manager to oversee all warehouse activities. In this role, you will lead Operations Supervisors, Team Leaders, and Warehouse Associates to ensure operational targets, productivity goals, and customer requirements are consistently met.

As a Shift Manager, you are responsible for the performance, coordination, and continuous improvement of your shift, ensuring seamless workflow, high service quality, and adherence to safety and process standards. You will analyze operational results, drive efficiency initiatives, and foster a strong team culture across multiple departments during your shift.

Key Responsibilities

Shift Leadership & Execution

  • Oversee all warehouse operations for the assigned shift, ensuring productivity, accuracy, and service-level goals are achieved.
  • Ensure proper staffing, task assignment, workflow coordination, and resource allocation throughout the shift.
  • Monitor and analyze shift performance results; implement corrective actions to meet or exceed KPIs.

Team Management & Development

  • Lead, coach, train, and motivate Operations Supervisors, Team Leaders, and warehouse employees.
  • Support onboarding and training of new employees to ensure proper process knowledge and performance.
  • Conduct regular performance check-ins, feedback sessions, and shift-start meetings.

Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity, reduce errors, shorten lead times, and enhance service quality.
  • Utilize Lean, 5S, and process improvement tools to strengthen shift operations.
  • Prepare and present improvement proposals based on data analysis and customer satisfaction insights.

Communication & Coordination

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for shift-related issues, coordinating with internal teams and external partners as needed. 
  • Ensure effective communication between shifts for continuity of operations.
  • Participate in interdepartmental meetings and collaborate on operational planning.

Safety, Compliance & Quality

  • Uphold all safety, quality, and operational policies throughout the shift.
  • Ensure proper usage of warehouse management systems (WMS), equipment, and standardized processes.
  • Conduct or support shift audits, safety checks, and compliance reviews.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree in logistics, operations, administration, or related field preferred; equivalent warehouse or leadership experience also considered.
  • Demonstrated experience managing large teams in a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics and warehouse processes. 
  • Proficiency with WMS (preferably WMI).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and team‑motivation skills.
  • Proficient in the English Language required
  • Bilingual in Spanish language preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of 5S and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Flexible, stress‑resistant, and able to work overtime or variable schedules during peak periods.
  • Willing to work alternating shifts, including nights or weekends as needed.
