What You’ll Do

The Development Coordinator supports the fundraising, donor engagement, and volunteer initiatives of Cornerstone of Hope Columbus. Working closely with the Community Engagement Officer, this position is responsible for maintaining donor relationships, ensuring timely communication and follow-up, assisting with fundraising activities, coordinating events, and recruiting and engaging volunteers. The Development Coordinator plays a key role in strengthening community relationships and supporting the successful execution of programs and events that advance Cornerstone of Hope’s mission.

 

Donor Relations & Fundraising Support

  • Conduct timely donors, sponsors, and supporter follow-up by phone, email, and written correspondence.
  • Maintain accurate donor records, contact information, and tracking systems.
  • Assist with thank-you communications, donor stewardship, pledge follow-up, and recurring donor efforts.
  • Support annual, seasonal, and special fundraising campaigns.
  • Prepare donor lists, reports, mailings, recognition materials, and fundraising communications.

 

Fundraising Event Coordination

  • Support planning and execution of fundraising events and campaigns.
  • Coordinate sponsor, donor, vendor, and participant communications.
  • ·Assist with event logistics, registration, sponsor fulfillment, and post-event acknowledgements.

 

Volunteer Recruitment & Coordination

  • Recruit, schedule, and coordinate volunteers for fundraising, memorial, and development activities.
  • Maintain volunteer records and communication.
  • Support volunteer appreciation and ongoing engagement efforts.

 

Memorial Event Support

  • Assist with planning and coordination of memorial and remembrance events.
  • Support communications, registration, materials, volunteer coordination, and event logistics.
  • Help ensure events are welcoming, organized, and aligned with Cornerstone of Hope’s mission and values.

 

Administrative & Team Support

  • Collaborate with staff, Board members, and volunteers.
  • Protect confidentiality of donor and financial information.
  • Represent Cornerstone of Hope professionally and in alignment with organizational values.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

What You'll Bring

  • Experience in donor relations, events, volunteer coordination, customer service, and/or administrative support.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and follow-up skills.
  • Strong ability to collaborate effectively with staff, volunteers, donors, sponsors, and community partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Dependable, professional, and comfortable representing Cornerstone of Hope in the community.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriate professional boundaries.

 

Bonus Points

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business, communications, marketing, or related field.
  • Past experience in nonprofit work and fundraising.

 

Position Status:

  • Part-Time, (16–24 hours per week)
  • Work Schedule: Cornerstone of Hope Columbus Office. Some evening and weekend hours may be required offsite.
